DETERMINANTS OF BULLYING, ITS CONSEQUENCES, AND PATHS OF LOCALIZATION: SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL ASPECT

Abstract

Introduction. The scientific research is due to the existence of an acute problem of violent and aggressive behavioral manifestations among adolescents, who, in the process of socialization, take into account certain moral and ethical norms of interaction with other members of a social group, where bullying and violence can occupy a prominent place. Scientific novelty. The determinants of the origin and ways of localization of violence among children are considered. Three main factors (family, teachers, reference groups) that can form or prevent violent policies in children are highlighted. Sociological data on bullying in the student environment are indicated. Practical aspects of studying the level of aggressiveness of schoolchildren, which is a prerequisite for the commission of violence by some students against others, are included. The purpose of the article is to identify bullying as one of the key socio-psychological and pedagogical problems of modern Ukrainian society. Results. In the course of scientific research on bullying as a social phenomenon, we have established that its possible components may be intolerance and intolerance towards other children, among whom the first victims are individuals with physical disabilities, behavioral characteristics, appearance features, poor social skills, illnesses, mental retardation, learning difficulties, etc. Several recommendations have been proposed that can become an effective socio-pedagogical tool for the prevention of adolescent bullying, in particular, intolerance of any manifestations of violence in the educational environment and beyond, active educational work on the signs of bullying and its consequences, analytical work with each individual case of violence and harassment, the creation of a clear and understandable mechanism for students to report facts of violence with confidentiality. It is recommended that the scientific and pedagogical community, parents, and individuals involved in fo rming adolescents should intensify teamwork to prevent bullying in their environment. Educators are invited to increase their level of competence by participating in trainings and programs and to intensify information and educational work with parents regarding the manifestations of bullying and ways to localize it.
