ART THERAPY PRACTICES IN THE SYSTEM OF PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT OF THE INDIVIDUAL

Introduction. The article examines the role of art-therapeutic practices in the system of psychosocial support of individuals, in particular war veterans. A theoretical analysis of scientific approaches to the use of art practices in social work and psychosocial support is carried out. The content of the concepts “art therapy” and “art practices” is clarified, and their differences in the context of professional activity of a social worker are outlined. The study identifies key scientific approaches, namely the biopsychosocial, trauma-informed, and resource-oriented approaches. The role of Veteran Development Centers as institutions of psychosocial support for veterans is revealed. The results of an empirical study of veterans’ needs conducted by the Ukrainian Veterans Fund are analyzed, confirming the relevance of implementing effective support tools. The article proposes a structural and functional model of psychosocial support that integrates the identified scientific approaches and provides for the implementation of art practices in the professional activity of social workers. Purpose and objectives of the article. The purpose of the article is to analyze and systematize scientific approaches to the use of art-therapeutic practices in the psychosocial support of war veterans. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty lies in the systematization and generalization of modern scientific approaches to the use of art-therapeutic practices in the psychosocial support of veterans, as well as in the development of a structural and functional model for the application of art therapy in working with veterans based on the biopsychosocial, trauma-informed, and resource-oriented approaches. Results. The conducted theoretical analysis demonstrates the importance of implementing art practices in the activities of Veteran Development Centers under modern conditions, particularly pottery as an effective tool of psychosocial support for war veterans. Art practices contribute to creating conditions for self-expression, emotional stabilization, and resource mobilization. The developed structural and functional model of psychosocial support for veterans, based on the biopsychosocial, trauma-informed, and resourceoriented approaches, facilitates veterans’ reintegration through art practices.
