STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS AS A TOOL FOR OVERCOMING GLOBAL CHALLENGES IN THE SOCIAL SPHERE

Abstract

Introduction. The article updates the description of the results of professional speech, communicative activity of future social workers with a master’s degree. It presents data from a survey of students regarding those speech qualities that social workers should possess – speech abilities, speech personal qualities, interests and inclinations in the social sphere that they would prefer to possess. The results of the testing, which confirmed their ideas about the linguistic specificity of the social worker’s activity and the features of the analysis of professional statements, established the prerequisites for the successful development of communicative skills of future specialists in the specified field. The processed scientific sources allow us to specify the content of support, which is understood as the interaction of a social worker in an environment aimed at mutual understanding, support and assistance in professional growth, assimilation of the norms of language culture, enrichment of vocabulary with terminological and professional vocabulary. The orientation of the applicant’s personality towards self-development and self-improvement in mastering professional speech skills, which is manifested through the ability to communicate in its various types, forms and means for the effective solution of the tasks set. The effectiveness of communication in communications will be enhanced by a common understanding of the situation, which becomes possible in the case of including business communication in the general system of social work activities. During communication, specific communicative barriers may arise with social work clients, they are of a social or psychological nature. In connection with the above, the mechanism proposed by us for implementing communicative support for applicants for the specialty of social work involves the organization of educational and methodological activities through the implementation of a specialized course of the professional training cycle «Strategic Communications in the Social Sphere».
