Abstract

Introduction. The article is devoted to the study of psychological aspects of the formation of professional culture of social workers. Since it is the high level of professional knowledge, skills and abilities of specialists, the formation of professionally important qualities that determine the productivity and quality of their work, the success and effectiveness of their professional duties. Professional culture allows social workers to achieve high results in the profession, as it involves a deep understanding of processes, critical reflection on experience and the pursuit of excellence. It enables professionals to feel confident, comfortable and relaxed in their professional activities, realising their important role and responsibility. Mastering the skills of professional culture by social workers determines their self-actualisation, resilience and professional longevity. Purpose and objectives of the article. The purpose of the article is to study the features and identify the psychological factors that influence the formation of professional culture of social workers. Scientific novelty. The article reveals the peculiarities of the influence of psychological factors that contribute to the formation of the professional culture of social workers. Results. It is stated that psychological factors are important in the formation of the professional culture of future social workers. Their professional activities are directly related to emotional experiences, participation in solving various kinds of people’s problems and meeting their vital needs. Therefore, the formation of appropriate psychological qualities and attitudes is critical for the effective, efficient and ethical practice of social workers. The factors of the professional culture of social workers are identified and analysed: compassion and empathy, reflection and self- awareness, respect for diversity and tolerance, self-regulation and emotional stability, interpersonal competence and communication skills, responsibility and ethical awareness.
