HISTORICAL ASPECTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SYSTEM OF INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL RIGHTS OF THE PERSON

Abstract

Introduction. The article examines the historical stages of the formation and development of the system of international protection of socio-political human rights. The key international documents that have become the basis for the formation of modern mechanisms for the protection of human rights are considered. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the impact of historical events, in particular world wars and global socio-political changes, on the evolution of international standards in the field of human rights. The peculiarities of the functioning of regional systems for the protection of human rights, such as the European Convention on Human Rights and the practice of the European Court of Human Rights, are also studied. The article emphasizes the importance of international cooperation and the activities of international organizations, in particular the UN, in ensuring the effective protection of the socio-political rights of the individual at the present stage of human development. The purpose of the study is a comprehensive analysis of the historical aspects of the development of the system of international protection of socio-political human rights, in particular, identifying the key stages of the formation and development of the system of international protection of human rights and analyzing the impact of historical events on the formation of modern international standards relating to social and political human rights. The study is based on a comprehensive analysis of historical sources, international treaties, documents of international organizations and scientific literature on international law, history of state and law and human rights. Thanks to the use of methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization of regulatory legal acts and documents of international significance, which made it possible to study the evolution of the system of international protection of socio-political human rights in chronological sequence, as well as to study the relationship between various elements of the system of international protection of human rights. The effectiveness of existing mechanisms for the international protection of socio-political human rights was analyzed and ways of their improvement were identified and substantiated conclusions and recommendations were formulated to increase the effectiveness of the international protection of socio-political human rights in the face of modern challenges. It was established that the results of the study will contribute to increasing the level of protection of socio-political human rights, strengthening international cooperation in this area and establishing the principles of democracy, justice and the rule of law in the world.
