SOCIAL AND LEGAL PROTECTION OF WAR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS

Introduction. The article considers current issues of social and legal protection of war veterans and their family members in Ukraine. The main regulatory legal acts regulating this area are analyzed, and the problems faced by veterans and their families are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the issues of medical care, psychological rehabilitation, employment and social adaptation of veterans. Based on the analysis, ways to improve the system of social and legal protection of war veterans and their family members are proposed in order to ensure their worthy integration into society and improve their standard of living. Key aspects of state policy aimed at ensuring the rights and guarantees of this vulnerable category of citizens are considered. Purpose and objectives of the article. The purpose of the study is a comprehensive analysis of the state of social and legal protection of war veterans and their family members in Ukraine, identification of problematic aspects in this area, in particular, analysis of current legislation and regulatory legal acts regulating the social and legal protection of war veterans and their family members, identification of effective mechanisms of social support for veterans and their families. Methodology. The study is based on a comprehensive analysis of regulatory legal sources and scientific literature on the issues of social and legal protection of war veterans and their family members. Thanks to the use of methods of analysis, synthesis and generalization of regulatory legal acts and documents, which made it possible to study and analyze the current legislation of Ukraine regulating the social and legal protection of war veterans and their family members. System analysis made it possible to consider the system of social and legal protection of veterans as a complex system that includes various elements and their interrelationships. Results. An analysis of the assessment of the contribution of state policy to the social and legal protection of veterans was carried out. The level of integration of veterans into society was studied and factors that contribute to or hinder social adaptation were identified. Possibilities of adapting different practices to Ukrainian conditions were identified. Development of information materials for veterans and their families regarding their rights and benefits.
