CURRENT ISSUES IN THE FIELD OF SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL AND THEIR FAMILIES

Abstract

Introduction. Social support for military personnel and their families is an important aspect of ensuring national security and stability in the country. In the context of modern conflicts and challenges, it is important not only to ensure the physical readiness of the military, but also to create appropriate conditions for their psychological and social support and support for their families. The purpose and objectives of the article. To analyze the relevance of the issue of social support for military personnel and their families. In order to achieve this goal, the following tasks need to be accomplished: 1. Analyze the scientific literature on the issue of providing social assistance to servicemen and their families. 2. To study the issues of social support and assistance to military personnel and their families in state institutions and the public sector. Results. The article is devoted to the analysis of the main problems of social support for military personnel in modern conditions. The author examines the main aspects that determine the effectiveness of state and public assistance to the military, in particular in the context of social protection, medical services, rehabilitation and employment after returning from the combat zone. Particular attention is paid to the issues of moral and psychological support, which are key to the adaptation of military personnel to civilian life. The main problems faced by servicemen and the need for a comprehensive approach to their solution to ensure stable social adaptation after service are highlighted. The research objectives were realized by applying a system of theoretical and empirical methods. These include: theoretical methods: the method of analysis and synthesis of scientific sources in order to characterize the concepts of the theoretical foundations of the topic, comparison, generalization and systematization of different views on the problem; empirical methods: observation and interviewing. According to the review of scientific literature on the peculiarities of social work with servicemen and their families, insufficient coverage of this issue was revealed, and despite the increase in scientific and practical developments on the problem of the current state of social work with servicemen and their families, there is still a lack of elaboration in terms of social work ideas, without which the development of this problem is ineffective. After all, social support for servicemen and their families is critical to ensuring national security and stability. However, existing programs need to be improved and funded, as well as new initiatives developed to help the military and their families more effectively. Taking into account the problems and challenges of servicemen and their families is a prerequisite for ensuring a comprehensive approach to social support and a decent life for the military and their families.
