Abstract

Introduction. Violations in the physical and/or mental development of students create difficulties in achieving general educational and educational goals and lead to conflicts between children’s ambitions and their capabilities. In this regard, in the legislative acts that regulate inclusive education, it is clearly defined that the peculiarity of the educational process for children with special educational needs is its corrective direction. The purpose of the study is to reveal the essence and role of the correctional and developmental component of the education of children with special psychophysical development. The main tasks are to determine the principles and methods of correctional work, to study the impact of the correctional and developmental approach on the integration of children with special needs into the educational process, as well as to formulate recommendations for improving pedagogical practice to ensure the full development of this category of students. Results. The essence of the correctional and developmental component of the education of children with psychophysical development features highlighted in the work emphasizes the relevance of consideration of this topic in the modern educational context. Scientific research proves that the corrective and developmental component is a necessary component of the educational process, aimed at creating optimal conditions for the full development of children with developmental disabilities. The assessment of the impact of the correctional and developmental approach on the integration of children with special needs testifies to its positive effect in ensuring their full participation in the educational environment.
