Abstract

Introduction. Today, one of the priority areas of our state’s policy is the creation of an inclusive educational environment. As in most countries of the world, in Ukraine, the concept of inclusive education is applied, as a rule, to people with disabilities, of whom there were more than 3 million. The relevance of the mentioned problem is due to the tendency to increase the number of young people and children who need special education, which would contribute to their social adaptation and integration into active social life. Recent years have been marked by significant changes in the system of inclusive education. The first steps of the Kamianets-Podilskyi Planning and Economic Technical Boarding School, which was established in 1971, took place in the absence of properly equipped educational premises, a dining hall, and a dormitory, which forced the directorate to postpone studies. The management had to solve the extremely difficult task of forming a qualified teaching staff, educational and support staff, establishing a clear work of structural divisions, creating an appropriate material and technical base. The years of establishment of the institution were very difficult. Nevertheless, despite the difficulties, it was possible to ensure a sufficient level of educational work, to put into practice the achievements of pedagogical science and advanced pedagogical experience, to encourage teachers, especially young ones, to raise their methodological and theoretical level. Attention was paid to the formation of the teaching staff with personnel who had significant industrial work experience, which, in turn, ensured the implementation of the principle of combining theory and practice in classes, teaching students based on real examples from the professional activities of teachers. The purpose of the article is on the basis of a scientific analysis of specific historical material comprehensively investigate the period of the historical path, in particular the 1970s, that is, the first decade after the establishment of the Kamianets-Podilskyi Planning and Economic Boarding School. The research results prove the relevance of the information for researchers of the history of education of the Podilsk region, teachers and students of higher education institutions in research and educational work.
