LOGISTICS ECONOMICS AND TRANSPORT LOGISTICS: STRATEGIC CHALLENGES OF THE DIGITAL AGE

The article is devoted to substantiating the key aspects of digital transformation of the logistics and Transport Logistics economy, identifying its advantages and strategic challenges. The concept of digital transformation in the field of transport and logistics is defined, which involves the use of digital technologies to improve supply chain operations by increasing efficiency, visibility and flexibility. The advantages of digital transformation in logistics and transport are systematized: increasing efficiency and productivity; reducing costs and increasing profitability; ensuring transparency and visibility in real time; improving adaptability and speed of response; improving customer experience; obtaining competitive advantages; more informed decision-making; ensuring higher staff engagement. The benefits that digital transformation provides to logistics companies are identified: productivity growth of 10-20% in the short term and 20-40% in the long term; reduction of operational risks by 60%, increase in the value of companies by 20% and increase in revenues by 5-10% over two years. The concept of «digital logistics strategy» is formulated as a detailed plan that includes technologies for optimizing and optimizing your logistics operations. The dynamics of the growth volume of the artificial intelligence market in 2024-2034 and the dynamics of the volume and growth rate of the e-commerce market in 2022-2029 are analyzed. the challenges of digital transformation in logistics are systematized such as: resistance to change, lack of digital skills, complexity of integration with existing systems, data management and security, high implementation costs, complexity of the supply chain and their characteristics are given. The results of an industry study on the challenges of digital transformation in logistics are presented: insufficient engagement and management of stakeholders; lack of interest / support from management; uncoordinated organizational structure; culture / attitudes / beliefs; resistance to change; insufficient level of education/awareness about change management; project management problems. limited resources and time.
